If you want a full-day on the water, then book a full-day of fishing with me.  We provide everything for your party to have a safe and enjoyable fishing trip.


3/4-Day Fishing Trip

If you're looking for a 6-hour fishing charter, then this would be your option.  Our 30' boat can fit up to 6 anglers. 


1/2-Day Fishing

This would be for a 4-hour fishing trip for 1-6 people.  We can accommodate both morning and afternoon outings.


Misc. Charters

This includes diving, scenic tours, spreading ashes, and more.  We are a licensed captain to operate both inshore and offshore.

ABOUT WILD THING CHARTERS


Captain Randy Hamilton, Licensed Fishing Charter

Captain Randy grew up in Western Pennsylvania fishing streams, ponds, and lakes. He moved to Marco Island in 1987 and opened a dive shop. Not long after opening the dive shop, he purchased the boat "Wild Thing Charters" and begin running diving and fishing charters in Marco Island, FL.


Captain Randy, a Marco Island fishing charter, has chartered thousands of dive and fishing trips in the local waters of Marco Island and knows the reefs and wrecks very well. He has an intimate knowledge of the fisheries from not only above but also below the waterline. 


You will find that Captain Randy is as comfortable with seasoned fishermen as he is with first-timers and gets a thrill watching his guests catch their first fish.  He especially enjoys fishing with kids and seeing them light up with they get a fish on the line.

FAQ's for Marco Island Fishing Charter Trips

  • What Should I Bring on My Trip?

    Since we are an "off shore" charter we travel sometimes 20-30 miles from the marina to fish. Making sure you have everything you might need with you is important.


    Please make sure to bring, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen (PLEASE DO NOT BRING SPRAY SUNSCREEN), clothes to protect you from the sun, medicines (including seasickness meds), beverages, snacks, lunch, a camera, etc.

  • Where Do You Fish?

    We are a coastal and offshore fishing charter in Marco Island, FL, so we will run offshore quite a ways. Some people call it Deep Sea Fishing.  We could run 1 mile to 40 miles off-shore.

  • What Types of Fish Are Available?

    On an average day, there is a chance to catch up to a hundred species of fish.


    We do our best to seek the species you desire.

  • Can I Use My Own Tackle?

    Sure, you can bring your own gear! Although we have top-of-the-line equipment that is constantly maintained to make your fishing trip as pleasurable as possible. If you haven't changed the line on your reel over the past few months I might leave it at home.

  • Can You Handle Corporate or Large Groups?

    We can handle groups of almost any size. We are well connected with other Charter Boats in the event that you bring more than 6 people. We handle all the logistics for you.

  • Deposit - Cancellation Policy

    We simply ask that you give us as much notice as possible in the event of a cancellation.

  • Do I Need a Fishing License?

    We provide all the licenses you need for an enjoyable fishing trip.

  • Where Do I Meet My Fishing Guide?

    We run out of the Rose Marina but arrangements can be made to depart from another location on the island if needed. Please contact Captain Randy for details

  • What Time Does Our Fishing Trip Start?

    Captain Randy will let you know the day before when the departure will be.


    Half Days are 7:30-11:30 or 12:30-4:30

    3/4 Days are 7:30-1:30 or 12:30-6:30

    Full Days are 7:30-3:30

  • Can I Bring Alcohol?

    Sure, but we just ask you to be responsible. We take great pride in running the safest boat possible.

  • Do You Have a Toilet on Board?

    Yes, we do!  We have a simple toilet for those in need.
